Warden Intervention
If your active goal is Tech Job and you drift to a blocked app, Pesto warns you, counts down, then minimizes the distraction without destroying work.
Meet Pesto
ScreenBuddy watches your active apps locally, keeps your current pursuit in view, and steps in before a quick distraction turns into an hour.
Windows beta. Pesto asks before installing required helpers and never captures screen pixels unless you explicitly enable a future feature.
Jarvis Mode
If your active goal is Tech Job and you drift to a blocked app, Pesto warns you, counts down, then minimizes the distraction without destroying work.
Ask where you were yesterday and Pesto summarizes the apps, windows, and pursuits you were actually using, then offers to restore the workspace.
Tell Pesto you are switching pursuits for the next hour. YouTube can be productive for Cooking and distracting for Tech Job.
No terminal setup
The installer explains what it needs, downloads missing pieces with progress, and opens a prefilled support form if anything fails.
Built for the real failure mode
Pesto is designed around the moment you start drifting: tired, stressed, bored, or switching tabs without remembering why.
Pesto warns first, then minimizes. It does not shame you, lock your machine, or close unsaved work.
Jarvis Mode uses safe OS window actions. No random clicking through websites, no autonomous task execution.
Your active pursuit changes the rules. YouTube can be research for Cooking and a distraction for Tech Job.
Activity is based on foreground apps and window titles. Screen pixels are not captured for the current Warden/Jarvis behavior.
The current download is an unsigned portable beta. Setup will tell you what it needs before installing local helpers.
Pesto helps you stay pointed at your own work. It does not do your job for you.
Privacy FAQ
No. Pesto tracks only the active app name and window title — never pixels. A future opt-in "Full" tier for screenshots will be per-app and off by default, never automatic.
100% locally, in a plain file on your own computer. The free tier — tracking, Life Pursuits, Jarvis Mode, and deterministic answers — needs no account and nothing ever leaves your machine.
Only when you ask Pesto a question with AI answers unlocked: a small text summary (app names, window titles, durations) goes to our server to get phrased. Never screenshots, never your full activity log, never without you asking.
We'd recommend personal machines only. Even metadata-only tracking can run against an employer's device policy — that's a policy question, not something a privacy toggle can fix for you.
